Make Splash Screen Optional

Mar 20, 2014 at 5:43 PM
Hi, really like the functionality. Have one feature request: could the initial Splash Screen with the "Easy Navigate" logo be made optional so that the user goes straight to the navigation?

Hi, I also really like this functionality.
It is the first time, an user can create his own menu structure.
At the moment it takes very long to load the easy navigation because the splash screen is shown very long. I do not know if it is because of loading webressources in the background but at the moment it takes longer for waiting then navigating the old way.

I would really appreciate it if the menu could load within one second.

Hi joexrmguy, larmar,

Thanks for using this tool.
Splash screen is only for masking purpose, EasyNavigate displays only tiles you have privilege to read.
So meanwhile init time, EasyNavigate gets UserPrivileges, SiteMap, UserConfig, EntitiesMetadata, ...
It loads for me (Online environment) in about 3 seconds

which environment deployment are you using ?

I'm using an onpremise environment and easy navigate loads for me in 4 seconds.
It's a really nice feature but the wait time is currently too long.

best regards

Hi joexrmguy, larmar,

The new version uses cache to display faster user sitemap meanwhile initialization requests execution.
Just create your own, and refresh. It will be a lot faster.

Hi Amine,
just imported your new solution.
Easy Navigate loads much faster. Thanks a lot.

It would be cool if the splash screen could be customized to add a company logo beside the EasyNavigate logo. It could be done on the Configuration screen for example. Customers love to see their logos everywhere :P
